The mission of the Living Steam Model Foundation is to build, preserve, maintain and enhance a collection of more than 130 unique pieces in Europe composed of live steam engines and objects related to the railway world.

With a view to making its collection visible to as many people as possible and enhancing its collection, the Foundation plans to create a Museum in the heart of the Swiss Vapeur Parc (around 2026) in an exceptional building; a real replica on the scale of the locomotive depot in Lausanne.

July 8, 2024 will remain an important date in the realization of the Foundation Museum. In one day, the face of Bellevue Hill has completely changed and the lines of the building have finally been drawn. Thank you to all the contributors and companies who make this project possible. <\/p>\n

The rest of the framework and the roof covering remain to be carried out. The building should be out of water by the autumn. <\/p>\n

The mission of the Vive Steam Model Building Foundation is to build, preserve, maintain and enhance a unique collection of more than 130 exceptional pieces.
In order to make this collection visible to as many people as possible, the Foundation aims to open a museum in the heart of the Swiss Vapeur Parc in June 2026: a scale replica of the Lausanne locomotive depot.
Finalised between the summer of 2024 and the spring of 2025, the exterior part of the building now allows a better appreciation of the scale of the future museum.<\/h4>\n
